The Staccato XC ships with a front sight which, when used in conjunction with the appropriate Staccato 2011® optic mounting plate, is designed to co-witness with industry leading full-sized red dot optics such as the Leupold Delta Point Pro, Holosun 508/509, Trijicon RMR, and others.

Two Dawson Precision DPO3 Optic Install Kits are included with the Staccato XC at no additional cost

Preferred Optics

for the Staccato XC

The Trijicon SRO has always been the most popular optic for the XC because its large glass and minimal bezel provide for a clear and unobstructed sight picture. It is a competition optic so it wouldn't be our first choice for a duty weapon, but the XC is more of a competition model anyways. So it makes sense.

 

The SRO comes in 3 different reticle sizes: 1 MOA, 2.5MOA, and 5MOA. If you are unsure which dot size you want, you can stick to this over-generalization. Go with the big 5 MOA dot for quick acquisition speed shooting steel where any hit on steel counts as a point. Go with the 1 MOA for bulls eye accuracy shooting. And go with the 2.5 MOA for everything else.


If you love red dots with big glass windows, you also might want to consider the Holosun 507COMP. It comes with even bigger glass than the SRO, it has multiple reticles to choose from, and it can be ordered with a red reticle or green reticle.

 

The Staccato XC includes a mounting kit from Dawson Precision that wil allow you to mount any of the optics below.

Preferred Lights

The Surefire X300 is the light that fits best on the Staccato XC and is the most popular fitment in holster manufacturers.

 

There are 2 different beam patterns available from Surefire. 

   - The Ultra has a wider beam for closer visibility.

   - The Turbo has a narrower beam that reaches further.

 

Both beam patterns are very bright, and the batteries last a long time. We like this light over other brands because it has proven to be a robust option that lives through duty abuse.

Duty/Battle Belt Rigs

for the Staccato XC

After trying lots of different belt combinations for duty/tactical training, this is the setup we ended up liking the most. The tension is adjustable using the included Kore ratcheting buckle. The holster features level 2 retention (Surefire X300U or X300T light required). The mag pouches are universal and will work with most pistol and rifle mags (including both AR15 and AR10).

Competition Belt Rig

for Staccato XC

This is our favorite 1.5" competition belt setup for the Staccato XC. The Kore ratcheting buckle allows for adjustable tension. The mag pouches have a strong magnet that holds the magazines securely in place, but provides little to no resistance while drawing. You will want at least 3 mag pouches for competitive shooting and training.

 

I have included 2 holster options below. One is a speed holster that grabs only the front of the trigger guard and the other holster is a more traditional kydex style holster with thumb screws for adjustable retention.


Note: You will need to use the speed holster (HC07-USPSA-2011) if you intend on running an Atlas Thumb Rest, as it will not fit in the competition holster (HC04-USPSA-STACCATOXC-BKRH).

Atlas Thumb Rest

for the Staccato XC

The Atlas thumb rest (also referred to as a "Gas Pedal") for the Staccato XC a way to reduce muscle rise by making the rotation of the gun work against your hand and wrist. 

 

It also keeps your thumb from accidentally touching the slide while shooting, which is a common cause of malfunctions in guns with very light main and recoil springs. 

 

Note: The slide will not lock back after the last shot after installing this, but you can manually lock the slide back by pushing up on the gas pedal with the slide pulled back.

    Staccato XC

    I ordered the Stacatto XC from Real Street Tactical after someone else on a FB group suggested they might have it. To my surprise they did. It was sold at MSRP, but shipped very quickly. It was an easy transaction and communication was great. The XC is awesome. I just added a Trijicon SRO to it. Have only 200 rounds through it, but the XC rocks as noted by almost everyone that has shot it.
