The Sig Sauer P365 XMACRO COMP is a popular favorite EDC carry pistol for a number of reasons.

1. It's thin and light and can be concealed easily and confortably
2. It has an integrated compensator to reduce muzzle rise when firing
3. it has a longer grip for those with hands too big to comfortably fit their pinky on the smaller p365 grip modules.
4. it holds 17 rounds of 9mm in each magazine from the factory
5. The accessory rail has a full length picatinny section that ends flush with the slide.

Some Sig fans don't like that the XMACRO must come with a shorter barrel to make the integrated compensator functionality work.

For some time now, many of these Sig fans have been creating their own model of P365 by buying an XMACRO to get the full length grip module, and then swapping the slide and barrel from a P365 XL slide and barrel, essentially making an uncompensated XMACRO with a full length barrel that goes all the way to the end of the slide.

Now Sig Sauer has released a new model of P365 that is an improved version of the combination described above called the Sig P365 TACOPS.

The Sig P365 TACOPS is an XMACRO grip module with an optics ready XL slide and barrel. The grip module comes from sig with a mild but functional mag well. The mag well acts as an appropriate support against the pinky and guide for mags into the grip module but does not negatively impact concealability or comfort when carrying. The TACOPS also comes with 4 magazines instead of 2 like the other XMACROS.

Both are very good options. 

The new (for 2023) P365 XMACRO is the same as the TACOPS but without the mag well and it comes with 2 magazines instead of 4. And can be had with or without a manual safety.
