Optics

This Atlas Athena comes with an optic mounting plate meant for mounting a Trijicon SRO. The SRO comes in 3 different reticle size options. 1 moa (smallest), 5 moa (largest), and 2.5 moa (happy medium). The SRO is sold separately and the 3 options are listed below.

Competition Belt Setup #1

We put this kit together using our favorite components after trying multiple options at the range and in competitions.

 

The 1.5" double belt is made by Kore Essentials. It is cut to fit, and tightens using a ratcheting buckle to get as tight or as loose as you want. The inner belt goes through your belt loops, and the outer belt goes over top with all your hardware mounted to it. That way your hardware never comes off the outer belt. 

 

The mag pouches are made by Double Alpha Academy. They are made out of aluminum, and they are very fast. There is a dial on the back to adjust retention. 

 

The holster is a Double Alpha Academy MAX Holster. It uses a roller retention off of the trigger guard. It has a very positive but easy click when seating the gun in the holster, but pulls out easy when drawing.

 

We recommend the following combination:

Competition Belt Setup #2

This is the belt setup we use when a thumb rest is installed on the Athena. The thumb rest makes the gun incompatible with many holsters, but because the Double Alpha Flex holster only interfaces with the trigger guard, the thumb rest does not interfere with the holster.
